Today's Atheist Meme of the Day. Pass this on; or don't; or edit it as you see fit; or make up your own. Enjoy!
Atheists do not have a God-shaped hole in our hearts. The human yearning for something more, for experience that transforms and transcends the ordinary, can be met by many things: love, art, work, sex, nature, adventure, altruism, etc. This yearning doesn't mean God exists: it means we're wired by evolution to be explorers. Pass it on: if we say it enough times to enough people, it may get across.
If I do have a hole in me, it certainly is not, in any manner, shape or form, god-shaped.

I think it's a lot like many commercials.
You know, people didn't really think they had these flaws and needs until someone invented a product and started to make commercials designed to make people insecure about these flaws and create these needs - just to get to present them with the convenient solution the very next second - their product, that they of course offer only out of concern and the goodness of their heart!
