Hi, all. I'm in Washington, D.C., attending the National LGBT Blogger And Citizen Journalist Initiative Thingie. Ironically, this means I'm away from my blog, and probably will be until Monday.
In the meantime, talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic. Butterflies are neither butter nor flies. Discuss.
I once read that butterflies are called so, because people used to believe that they would eat the cream on top of fresh milk, or freh butter. The german word "schmetterling" also comes from this, "schmett" being an old word for cream.
I believe the "fly" part is there because they are flying around and stuff. :D

Carpets are neither cars, nor pets.

Why didn't you say you were coming earlier, so there could be a get-together with your adulating readers?
If you have time, send mail or post something, and I'll buy you a beverage of choice.

You live in DC? Bummer! I wish I could have scheduled a meet-up. But my schedule was totally packed. Outside the conference, I barely had time for one brief outing with family and one dinner with an old friend. Next time I do one of these, I'll try to plan it so I have some time to meet my readers.
