Have you read Sexual Fluidity yet? (http://www.amazon.com/Sexual-Fluidity-Understanding-Womens-Desire/dp/0674026241/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1214968607&sr=1-1) I haven't actually read it, but my metamour is reading it now, and it takes sexuality beyond a mere spectrum. It's my hypothesis that sexuality is not merely a 2-D spectrum, but a 3-D world full of depth and complexity and colors and shading that a simple line-graph or numerical spectrum doesn't even begin to cover (but does a much better job than the False Dichotomy of straight/gay).

You might want to check it out - I plan to read it as soon as I'm done with the current Poly Book Club assignment!

I don't know which is more fun as a bisexual: poking holes in the sorting of our society by gender and sexual orientation, or poking my fingers into the holes of others. ;)

"I don't know which is more fun as a bisexual: poking holes in the sorting of our society by gender and sexual orientation, or poking my fingers into the holes of others. ;)"

I could see that coming from a mile away. Yes, I said "coming." Grow up, please. ;-)

For what it's worth, I lost a female friend due to my wife's ill-feelings towards her.

I can't even count the number of friendships I've seen torn apart this way. It breaks my heart every time. Don't even get me started on the crap I've had to listen to when people "find out" (like I've ever tried to hide it) that I'm still friends with most of my exes.

Boy, I like being poly. I just called up my SO and said "I just got asked out on a date! I don't know if anything will come of it, but I figured that I ought to tell you."

I do plenty of things with MOTAS friends, but I figure it's a date if the primary purpose is to get to know each other rather than to engage in some mutually enjoyed activity.

But this jealousy thing just does not make sense to me.

I came to this late, but just wanted to say this is an Awesome post. (with a capital A)

I've been meaning to belabour this point in an essay in just about forever!
