I remember having some weird dream about destroying a magical artifact. It was equally silly. Nice looking cabinet, though.

What I want to know is: Do other people have dreams about epic battles between good and evil that focus on utterly mundane trivia of everyday life, like cabinets and glasses and BART lines?

Mine aren't mundane. But they do undergo several rewrites over the course of a night, often tightening the plot or providing greater depth to a character or two.
